In Captain America the sub-genre is dystopia and mutation  because he is a  genetically modified superhero covered in new technology saving the world. They have a range or gender fighting instead of having the pretty girl attracting the superhero. also the effects are good as they

The conventions of the movie are that he is dressed in new technology. You have the good side vs the bad people and there is some comedy but mostly action. With all the fighting scenes they have used special effects e.g when he breaks into the car and rips the steering wheel out. Also when they get into a fight the fire and the reaction to the villain punching Captain America.

The target audience is directed at 15-30 year olds. I think this because the humor and the fighting scenes may attract that sort of aged audience as they could understand it more than a 5 year old.
